Bridget + Steve | Landenberg Barn at Nonantum Farms

Talk about a one of a kind wedding. Bridget and Steve thought of every detail right down to the GORGEOUS CUSTOM MADE bar built by the groom himself, which totally looks like something that belongs in the Twisted Oaks Studio…Hint, Hint. This wedding was absolutely stunning and The Ladenberg Barn at Nonantum Farms could not have been a more perfect setting for these newlyweds to celebrate their special day. It was truly a gorgeous wedding with two really wonderful people who, along with their guests, definitely soaked up every moment of fun their day had to offer from the drinks to the food to the dancing. What a fun night! Congrats again to these newlyweds on a perfect day and a beautiful marriage.

Cecilia | The best of 2018

First off, I can’t believe it’s already March, but I know I speak for all of us that we’re looking forward to warmer weather and the 2019 wedding season. Showing this blog post off makes us even more excited for the year ahead. Below is Cecilia’s Best of 2018 gallery showing off some of our favorite photos captured by her this year. One of the biggest benefits that Sandi and I have had over these past 3 years of running Twisted Oaks Studio is getting to watch each of our photographers continue to grow into who they are today, especially Cecilia.

Cecilia has been with us since the beginning and is one of our most popular and requested Lead photographers for a reason. As with all photographers, she’s extremely tough on herself which ultimately leads to her pushing even harder to become better and better. 2018 was a year where we watched her take a step back and re-evaluate what she needed to work on and as the season came to a close it was easy to see that it paid off. I really enjoyed putting this together and as you scroll through you’ll not only be able to see how talented she is but how natural our clients can be in front of her camera. Clients love working with her and it’s because of the time she spends getting to know each and every one of them that helps her capture the awesome photos that you’ll see below.

2018 was a special year and we have no doubts that 2019 will be her best year yet as she continues to evolve as a photographer and an artist. We’re extremely thankful for her and she plays a vital role in what makes Twisted Oaks one of the best wedding photography studios in the country.

Looking Back At 2017 - Eric

2017 was one really awesome year. I took a lot of photos, and hung out with a bunch of people I love. Even though I’m a new addition to the Twisted Oaks Team it already feels like I’m with family.

I met Jay at one of his photography workshops in the Poconos at the beginning of the year. Immediately I knew this guy was different from the rest of the photographers around. Instead of talking about himself and how to take photos, he talked about how to connect with people. You could really tell how much value Jay, as well as his wife Sandi, put on their team and all of the Twisted Oaks clients.

Through the months Jay and I kept in touch and became friends. Mostly talking about photography and family. I helped photograph a couple weddings at the end of the year with Cecilia and Jenna as an associate photographer for TO and in November Jay and Sandi asked me to join the Twisted Oaks team.

I couldn’t feel more appreciative to get to work with such an awesome team and all of the amazing couples. I’m looking forward to 2018.

Looking Back At 2017 - Angela

2017 was a great year, especially since it's the year I moved to Philadelphia. Last year I was doing mostly NYC weddings and living in Brooklyn but I told Jay and Sandi at Twisted Oaks that I loved working with them and if they started booking me in NJ and PA I would like to move to Philadelphia. My calendar filled up for 2017 and I made the move as promised and I haven't looked back since!

I loved meeting all the new couples of 2017, along with exploring new venues and locations for my shoots. It really felt like a fantastic creative boost to be in a new area and I was so happy to move closer to the Twisted Oaks Team. I'm grateful for the support that they've shown me and as my 2018 calendar is filling up again I get more and more excited about all the new people I will meet and for all this year will bring to me creatively.

Thank you Twisted Oaks Studio and thank you to all the amazing and kind couples I've met this year!

Looking Back At 2017 - Jenna

If I had to summarize my first year as a lead photographer with Twisted Oaks in one word, I would say 2017 was an overwhelmingly rewarding year. Not only did I gain new experiences, make new connections, improve on both my artistic and technical skills, work with talented new people, and explore new venues, but I was a part of making our Twisted Oaks clients happy. That is why we do all of this, and the one thing I love about being a wedding photographer is that it proves over and over again to be so rewarding. It also feels great to be on a team sharing these experiences with others that support one another!

This past year, I quickly learned that there is something about our Twisted Oaks couples that sets them apart from the norm. They are all so adventurous and have the most interesting love stories! I love that our clients trust our artistic visions and are willing to do surprising things for awesome photos. Whether it's getting waist-deep in the ocean while still in their wedding gown without a second thought or playing arcade games on the boardwalk, Twisted Oaks clients are truly the best. I also appreciate that our clients give us ample time on their wedding day to render their images that will be heirlooms in their families forever. It fills a photographer's heart with happiness to know that this art is valued!

2017 was a great year! It was one that handed me opportunities for connections and growth and I am so thankful for that!

Looking Back At 2017 - Cecilia

2017 has been the best year yet! Twisted Oaks has brought so much growth in my life through the many weddings and wonderful clients I’ve met. Jay, Sandi, and the rest of the Twisted Oaks team have been my constant source of strength and inspiration. 2018 has a lot to offer and I am ready to face it head on because I have my Twisted Oaks Family with me.

Thank you to all of our clients, past, and future, for trusting us and making us a vital part of such an important milestone in your lives! We love you all so much! Here are a handful of my favorite wedding and engagement photos from 2017, and trust me, it was extremely difficult to choose. Enjoy :)
