Alyssa + Casey | Pen Ryn Estate

What a beautiful wedding shot by associate photographers Angela and Nicole. Angela was really touched by the fact that while Alyssa was getting ready, her childhood pictures surrounded her as she chose to prepare for her most important day at the home where she grew up. The day was filled with little details just like that which certainly made it very special. Alyssa and Casey were a beautiful couple who are obviously in love, and their wedding day could not have gone better. Great job again by Angela and Nicole, and congrats once again to the newlyweds.

Kelly + Brett | Terrain

Kelly and Brett’s wedding at The Terrain in Devon was absolutely beautiful. The way associate photographers Angela and Ben captured the true emotion including this beautiful bride’s smile throughout the day was perfection, and you will definitely notice while scrolling through. This was Angela’s first time shooting at the new Terrain and she fell in LOVE. Before arriving at the venue Angela, Ben, and the soon to be Mr. and Mrs. made a quick detour and stopped at Jenkins Arboretum for their first look and portraits. It was absolutely stunning and an amazing backdrop which produced some really breathtaking images. Angela and Ben did an awesome job as always and we cannot wait to shoot at the gorgeous new Terrain again.

Marley + Nathan | The Gables Historic Inn + Restaurant

From the moment associate photographer Angela met Marley, Nathan, and their sweet pup at their engagement shoot she knew this was going to be an amazing wedding day, and boy was she right. Long Beach Island is an extremely special place to both Marley and Nathan, as well as their family, so it was no surprise when they chose the gorgeous Gables Historic Inn and Restaurant as their venue. The bride and her mother, along with her bridesmaids, were relaxed and couldn’t have been sweeter as they prepared for this very special day smiling and laughing joyfully the entire time. Nathan and his groomsmen shared a special moment as they got ready at their family beach house in LBI. The ceremony was extremely special and unique at the LBI Historical Museum and truly completed this special beach themed wedding. Associate photographers Angela and Kaylyn did an outstanding job once again capturing this beautiful and special wedding. Congrats again to the new bride and groom.

Angela | The Best of 2018

A lot of other wedding photographers ask me about hiring others to photograph weddings for them. I give each and every one of them the same answer: don’t do it. So, why would I say that when Twisted Oaks has seen such great success over the past 3 years as a multi-photographer studio? Well, I spent 3 years studying other large studios, hiring a business coach, and really preparing ourselves to bring on our first two photographers. The first was Cecilia, the second was Angela. Sandi and I basically lucked out big time with the both of them and extremely appreciative that they are still here with us today. Not only were they willing to learn how to do things a little differently and go through the initial growing pains with us, but they truly believed in our business model and helped us turn the studio into what it is today. I really don’t know where we would be without the two of them and I’m extremely thankful to say the least. Especially, with Angela gaining the reputation as the photographer who loves clients who want their fur babies involved in the engagement shoot and/or wedding.

Angela was the only photographer that I hadn’t personally met before bringing her on as an associate. I felt at first that it was a risky move but was willing to take the chance. She hung in there with us as we made a lot of changes over the first two years and tried our best to make things go as smoothly as possible for them while making sure it also benefited the studio. It paid off as clients began falling in love with her laid back approach and it didn’t take long for her to learn why we wanted each of our associate photographers to take the time getting to know each and every client. She quickly began booking weddings and it hasn’t slowed down since. While there are a lot of things that we like all of our associate photographers to do to keep consistency across the board, especially as far as shooting is concerned, we also encourage them to stay true to their personal style.

Angela’s works really stands out and it’s easy for clients to see if she is the photographer for them or not. She has a somewhat traditional yet artistic and editorial style that clients have fallen in love with. She is the photographer best known for making clients comfortable in front of her camera and it’s easy to see while scrolling through the photos below. She is momma of a Cavy pup and because of her love for animals quickly became known as the pet whisperer, with almost every client with pets hiring her to capture their special day. She’s become more than a photographer to us, she’s become a good friend, and we don’t know where we would be without her. She had a kickass season last year and we couldn’t be more excited to show it off!

It was a scorching hot day but that didn’t stop Megan and Nicholas from having the wedding of their dreams. Luckily enough their wedding was at The College of Physicians, so this adorable couple got to steal snuggles and kisses in the outstandingly stunning grand libraries, before they made things official. Associate photographers Angela and John captured perfectly the pure love these two share, which was abundantly obvious. Megan’s smile and laugh is infectious and scrolling through this blog you can’t help but to smile right along with her. Congrats to the new bride and groom on their perfectly special day.

From the traditional Greek Orthadox ceremony, to the picturesque setting at The Barn at Forestville surrounded by willow trees and even horses, this was certainly one beautiful wedding. Arianne and Sean provided their guests with delicious food, cocktails, and even games to keep them entertained all night. Everyone danced their hearts out under the rustic wooden beams in the barn, and had a fantastic time. This will definitely be one to remember, and associate photographers Angela and Austin did an incredible job telling this love story. Congrats to the newlyweds.

Kelly Ann + Tom | Bayonet Farm

Kelly Ann and Tom said “I Do” surrounded by their family and friends on the beautiful Bayonet Farm. This October wedding was fully equipped with motorcycles, photo booths, farmhouses, gorgeous open fields, an entire wall of beer on tap, the sweetest dog-of-honor, and what we never knew every wedding right around Halloween was missing, a gigantic Jason Doll. On top of all of that though, what really shined brightest was the love and laughter Kelly Ann, Tom, and all of their family and friends shared that special day. It was surely a night no one would forget. We also wanted to do something a little different with this blog post and include their review that they wrote about their experience. Give it a read if you’re a bride looking to learn what the experience is like with one of our top associate photographers. We couldn’t be happier to read this review when it came in!

Kaiti + Andrew | Cira Centre

Kaiti + Andrew’s beautiful Cira Centre wedding was everything a true Philadelphia wedding should be. Kaiti prepared for her day at the amazing Cira Centre right next to 30th Street Station, while Andrew was close by getting ready with family and friends, at his family home in South Philly. Their Philly wedding wasn’t complete though without the groom dipping his bride on Broad Street, where they popped champagne to celebrate their new unity. Associate photographer Angela, along with second shooter John, did a fantastic job telling the story of these two on their first day as husband and wife. What a wonderful celebration filled with tears of joy, laughter, love, and of course dancing. Congrats to the newlyweds.
